    Manuscripts

    Certificate signed by Benjamin Lincoln, as the Customs Collection, certifying the importation of a case of claret, 1807 July 31. Countersigned by Thomas Melville, a major in the American Revolutionary War and participant in the Boston Tea Party (and the grandfather of author Herman Melville).
